Who We Support

Preston Taylor Ministries_logo_final-01 (2)

Preston Taylor Ministries (PTM) empowers children and youth to discover and live their God-inspired dreams, develop a love for learning, and build joy-filled friendships that glorify Christ Jesus. At PTM, there is a history of helping kids become overcomers. Overcomers see beyond what is right in front of them. Caring adult relationships, tutoring academic programs, and spiritual programs all help kids and youth become the overcomers we know them to be. PTM was founded in 1998 to confront many of the problems present in the Preston Taylor public housing area, including problems like drug use, gang involvement, teenage pregnancy, illiteracy, poor school performance and crime. To provide hope for children and families living in this environment, PTM sponsors several avenues for building life-changing relationships including tutoring, mentoring and fun events. At PTM, it’s about relationships.

Wonderfully Made Ministry for Girls partners with Preston Taylor Ministries in helping their girls build "joy-filled friendships and God inspired dreams." In addition, Wonderfully Made sends volunteers to help each girl identify and develop her God-given gifts. This is done by teaching Bible Studies, cooking and craft activities and one on one relationships. Wonderfully Made Ministry for Girls gives opportunities for young girls to take dance class, piano lessons, art class, cooking class, and participate in various sports leagues.Wonderfully Made Ministry for Girls has a week long Summer Camp that supports the mission statement. The Camp is for girls ages 5-11.

FCA Camp takes the best attributes of an athletic-focused camp and a spiritual-focused camp and combines them into an athletic/spiritual experience like none other. FCA Camp removes athletes and coaches from the rut and routine of their sport, friends/co-workers and community and places them into an exciting, healthy, athletic environment that allows them to pursue their passion for sport and clearly see and hear the Christ’s passion for them.

The Bridge Ministry also aids school children on assisted lunch programs by filling their backpacks with food on Friday afternoons so that they have food to eat over the weekend.
