St. Paul’s Mother’s Day Out is an outreach ministry of St. Paul Community Church seeking to serve families with children ages 12 months through four years old. By integrating age appropriate mental, emotional, physical, and social skills with a love for Jesus Christ, each child will have the opportunity to receive a firm foundation from which to grow.
"Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your childrem. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up". Deut. 6:5-7a
Registration is currently open to the public. There are 6 classes beginning with children age 12 months going through 4.5 years old. Contact Gayle Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or call 615-828-0756 or the church office 615-269-4521 x 107. We welcome you to come tour the school. Please contact Brooke or Gayle to schedule a tour appointment.
We have a weekly and monthly theme and the children will be offered a broad range of activities. Our monthly theme is based on the Fruits of the Spirit and a Bible verse fitting with the spiritual theme. All rooms are divided into learning centers with the older rooms being more clearly defined with self initiated activities. After all the children have arrived, the class transitions into the more structured daily activities.
There are opportunities for small group or one on one time with the teachers, followed by large group activities. Opportunities for art, music, outdoor/indoor play, and healthy snacks are all part of the morning activities done at the same time each day. This schedule is kept consistent so that even though a child cannot tell time, he or she soon learns what is coming next. Consistency in a child’s day encourages his or her feeling of security.
The Mother’s Day Out school year runs from September until May. Hours are 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. Early morning care is offered from 8:00am for an additional cost of $6.00 per day per child which canbe added to the monthly tuition or may be paid on a drop in basis. If you know you are planning to use it on a regular basis, we would prefer to add the cost to your tuition.
The curriculum used, MEPSS, is designed to expose the important concepts that will enhance his/ her mental, emotional, physical, social and spiritual development in an age appropriate manner. Teachers are free to add to the curriculum by using the Wee Learn or Creative Curriculums and through their own teaching experience. This curriculum has come under advisement of the lower school curriculum advisor for St. Paul Christian Academy.
